Thank You For Choosing Us!
Here's what to expect...
Your estimator will be your main point of contact for the scheduling of your project, although you may hear from other members from our team as well. As we close in on your time-frame for beginning your project, we will increase his communication with you until an exact start date is determined. Much of the work we do is exterior and depends on the weather, so our schedule, along with the estimated starting time-frame for your project, can change. While we do our best to communicate the schedule to everyone in the days and weeks leading up to your project, we do incur weather and other unforeseen delays on projects which can affect the estimated time-frame on your project.
If you have any questions about the work scope, or the details on the estimate, please contact whomever originally estimated your project (Zach, Brian or Doug).
Listed below are a few pointers to think about prior to the project beginning.
Interior
- We ask that all pictures, wall hangings and other valuables be taken off/away from the walls prior to the crew arriving
- It is greatly appreciated if you can remove blinds and window treatments prior to the crew arriving
- Electronics, such as wall-mounted televisions, should be removed by the home owner if it is preferred that we paint behind these items
- We can assist in moving larger furniture
- Please take time to examine the current paint job to look for existing drips, spatter on floors, etc.
- If we are not painting the ceilings and/or trim and woodwork, please take time to examine these areas prior to the walls being painted. We want you to be aware of any prior spatter or drips from prior paint application, if they exist.
- If there are specific areas you would prefer us store our paint and supplies, specific sink for cleaning up, or any other additional information we should know, please fill out the questionnaire form to the right to let us know.
- We typically put a recommended sheen, or finish (flat, satin, etc) on your estimate. Unless you request a different sheen prior to the project starting, we will use that specified sheen.
Exterior
- If your project requires power washing, we typically do this anywhere from 1-7 days in advance of the painting beginning. We’ll need a working water source for the power washer.
- We kindly ask that trees, bushes and shrubbery that may interfere with the painting of your home be trimmed back prior to the paint crew arriving. We will need to maneuver around your home, many times with ladders, in the areas that are to be painted. We take every precaution to protect your plants and landscaping, however there are times where damage to such areas are unavoidable. If there are specific plants or areas you want us to take extra care around, please let us know prior to the project.
- While we are a very animal friendly company, we kindly ask that all animal waste be picked up prior to the crew beginning work (since they will be dragging equipment such as ladders and hoses through the yard).
- We typically need access to a power outlet to either plug in our sprayer or shop vac.
- If we are painting any of your entry doors, we’ll need to be able to open these during painting in order to paint the entire door edge to edge.
- If we are painting your windows or doors; in an effort to prevent these from “sticking shut,” it is important that you open and shut the windows multiple times in the following days after the painting is complete.
- Please examine any areas of brick, stone or concrete for any existing paint spatter or drips.
- If you have a specific preference for where we should store our ladders, clean up our tools, or any other additional information you would like us to know, please fill out the questionnaire.
- We typically put a recommended sheen, or finish (flat, satin, etc) on your estimate. Unless you request a different sheen prior to the project starting, we will use that specified sheen.
- We often will place a “Coming Soon” yard sign in your yard ahead of the project (near the time of booking). If this is an issue, please let us know!
Final Walk-Through & Payment
Your crew foreman will do a final walkthrough with you at the end of the project. We kindly ask for a prompt payment within 24-48 hours upon completion of the project. Your estimator (Zach, Brian or Doug) is always happy to stop by for a final walk-through, if you would prefer.
